How trade copying works

What happens between a signal posted on Telegram and a trade on your account, step by step, and where each step shows in the app.

Written for TradeMirrorly 1.5.0 · Updated

Every signal goes the same way, from the channel to your account and back to your screen:

  1. 1The channel posts a signal. TradeMirrorly, signed in to your own Telegram on your computer, receives it.
  2. 2It reads the signal: side, symbol, entry, SL and TPs, in 11 languages with no setup, plus any words you set for that channel.
  3. 3It checks your rules: whether copying is paused, whether the news filter holds new trades, and whether the signal is fresh. One more than 2 minutes late is skipped.
  4. 4It sends the trade. For MetaTrader 4 and 5 it writes a command that the TradeMirrorly EA in your terminal runs; TradeLocker and Match-Trader trades are placed by the app itself.
  5. 5The trade opens with that channel's settings: size, the split over the TPs, SL and TP, breakeven and trailing.
  6. 6The result comes back. Signals shows what was opened and at what price, or why not, and a desktop alert tells you.

Replies manage the trade

When the channel replies to its signal with close, close half, breakeven or a new SL or TP, the same path runs and the open trades change. See replies that manage trades.

The app never asks for your MetaTrader password

For MT4 and MT5 the app doesn't talk to your broker. It writes one command per signal, and the EA inside your own terminal places it. Your trading login stays in MetaTrader.
