Pip value calculator
Pick a market and a lot size to see what one pip is worth in US dollars, and what a move of any number of pips adds up to. Pips are counted the way TradeMirrorly counts them.
Value of 1 pip
$10.00for 1 lot
- Per 1.00 lot
- $10.00
- Per 0.01 lot
- $0.10
- 20 pips
- $200.00
- A 1.00 price move
- $100.00
Pip value = pip size × contract size × lots, in the market's second currency, then in US dollars.
For a USD account. Contract sizes are typical and prices are samples: check your broker's contract specification and type today's price. TradeMirrorly itself uses your broker's own figures for every symbol.
How it works
How a pip is counted
- 1
Pip size
0.1 on gold. Ten points on prices with 3 or 5 decimals, like EURUSD, USDJPY and silver. One point on everything else, so on indices and crypto it follows your broker's decimals.
- 2
Value of 1 pip
Pip size × contract size × lots. On EURUSD that's 0.0001 × 100,000 = 10 dollars per lot.
- 3
In US dollars
Already dollars on EURUSD, gold and other …USD markets. On USDJPY or GBPJPY the yen amount is divided by the USDJPY price.
- 4
Where TradeMirrorly uses it
Your own SL and TPs in pips, the breakeven offset, the trailing distance, and the slippage on every signal's timeline.
- Some brokers quote a market with other decimals. If yours does, change the pip size: TradeMirrorly reads each symbol's decimals from your broker.
How much is 1 pip on EURUSD?
With the standard 100,000 contract, 1 pip (0.0001) is $10 per 1.00 lot, $1 per 0.10 lot and $0.10 per 0.01 lot. The same goes for GBPUSD, AUDUSD, NZDUSD and other pairs that end in USD.
How much is 1 pip on gold (XAUUSD)?
TradeMirrorly counts a gold pip as 0.10. With a 100-ounce contract that's $10 per 1.00 lot, so a $1.00 move in the gold price is 10 pips, or $100 per lot.
Why is a pip different on USDJPY?
Yen pairs have 2 or 3 decimals, so a pip is 0.01, and its value is in yen first: 0.01 × 100,000 = 1,000 yen per lot. At a USDJPY price of 150 that's about $6.67.
What is a pip on US30, NAS100 or Bitcoin?
There's no single standard. TradeMirrorly counts one point, the smallest price step, on prices without 3 or 5 decimals, so it follows your broker: on a US30 quoted to 1 decimal, a pip is 0.1. The calculator also shows what a 1.00 move is worth, which is how many traders think about indices.
Do I have to turn pips into prices in TradeMirrorly?
No. When a channel gives its SL or TP in pips, or you set your own SL and TPs in pips, the app works out the prices from your broker's own symbol data.
